The use standard of mueller athletic tape:
Skin preparation: Depilation, cleansing of skin, addressing any lesions with necessary counseling, application of adhesives and lubricants, pads, etc.
Functional Location of Taped Body: The position of the athlete depends on the area where the mueller athletic tapeis taped.
Trainer/Taper Body Mechanics: The athlete must be at a comfortable height to reduce fatigue during prolonged close-fitting.
mueller athletic tape Application
Sports tape must be applied to a dry, clean body temperature area ofthe body with bare skin or pre-wrapped to prevent slippage and maintain wrap effectiveness and rigidity.
The type and width of mueller athletic tape must be suitable (able to tie a given body part in place) to fit the area being taped.
Areas subject to high friction should be reinforced with protective padding or underwrap.
mueller athletic tape should be used: thin and wrinkle-free; does not impair circulation, nerve, or muscle movement; and has no protruding pressure on the body.
Removal: Post-exercise exercise tape should be removed using a tape cutter (sometimes called a “shark”) or special tape scissors. The skin must be free of tape residue.
Orientation of sports straps
To properly wrap a bone or muscle injury, you must confirm the injury you are evaluating.
For example, an ankle injury can result in a different wrapping technique than a shoulder or arm.
To begin the wrapping procedure for an ankle injury, the required materials must be gathered.
Necessary items include mueller athletic tape, heel and lace pads, pre-packing, and mueller athletic tape.
Place the patient on a sturdy table to elevate and extend the leg for easy access to the ankle injury.
Position the feet at a 90-degree angle and hold them still during the gluing process.
Begin preparing and pre-wrapping the ankle, placing one heel and lace pad on the front of the ankle and the other on the back of the ankle.
Next, cover the foot and ankle with the pre-pack. Start with the arch of the foot while using spray glue to the bottom of the calf muscle to secure the prewrap.
Place two exercise tape anchors on both ends of the prepackage, then attach the “stirrups” of exercise tape to your feet.
Start one stirrup from the inside of the ankle, wrap it under the heel, and tape it along the outside of the foot.
Repeat this process twice for a total of three stirrups on the feet.
When done, place the three horseshoes behind the Achilles tendon to support the ankle.
After painting the horseshoe, create a figure-eight shape starting from the inside of the foot. Loop around the calf, then over the top of the ankle, continuing under the arch of the foot.
Secure the tape by creating a “heel lock” on the inside and outside of the ankle.
After that, attach another figure-eight shape to the heel lock. To end the recording, make sure to close any tape openings that may be exposed.
If patients continue to experience pain, they are advised to see a doctor to find out the root cause of the problem.
If the patient experiences pain and/or discomfort from the mueller athletic tapeon the injured area, reduce activity to reduce the risk of further injury.
