How to use white athletic tape

1. Ring wrapping method

This white athletic tape method is used for small or cylindrical parts of the limb, such as the hands, feet, wrists and foreheads, and is also used at the beginning of various dressings.

Roll the bandage upwards, hold it with the right hand, unfold the bandage about 8cm, fix the head end of the bandage with the left thumb to the part to be bandaged, and wrap the part in a continuous loop with the right hand.

2. Spiral wrapping method

For parts with approximately equal circumferences, such as upper arms, fingers, etc. From the distal end, first wrap two rolls in a ring shape, and then wrap them in a 30° angle spiral to the proximal end.

Each roll overlaps the previous roll by 2/3, and the end is fixed with tape.

The weekly bandages do not cover each other in the absence of white athletic tape in first aid or temporarily immobilize the splint, which is called snake dressing.

3. Spiral reflex wrapping method

This white athletic tape dressing method is used for parts with different circumferences, such as forearms, calves, thighs, etc., start with a two-week ring dressing, and then do a spiral dressing, and then press the middle of the top of the tape with the thumb of one hand, and the other hand will The tape is folded back down from this point, covering 1/3 or 2/3 of the previous week. 4. “8” shaped wrapping method

It is used for bandaging and fixation of clavicle fractures in shoulder, elbow, wrist, ankle, and other joints.

Take the elbow joint as an example, first wrap 2 rolls in the middle of the joint, first wrap the bandage above the joint, then wrap it under the joint through the flexion side, pass the dorsal side of the limb to the flexion side of the limb, and then wrap it above the joint, and so on.

5. Reverse wrapping method
